Abstract
A lot of work is being done today on establishing professional qualifications to improve labour quality. From 2004 onwards, the Directorate of Religious Affairs (DIB) established the competences/qualifications required for officials working within it to effectively perform the religious services needed by the community. The study explores how much the faculty education is sufficient for students from the seminary faculties that train religious officials. The research was carried out on seniors from Istanbul University Faculty of the Divine Faculty. The findings to be addressed in as much detail as possible are interpreted through frequency tables used in descriptive analysis. The findings are expected to provide data to enhance the quality of education in the seminary faculties, as well as to contribute to the shape of education policies by the IPU.
