Abstract
O article proposes a fictitious case to illustrate the use of interlinked Open Data technologies as mechanisms to make interoperable information in libraries, archives and museums, using as an example information about the Machado de Assis writer and his work. A limited, illustrative, non-exhaustive case study was used as a method. Different vocabularies for data interconnection and representation have been applied, using the principles of Linked Data; it is suggested that information professionals benefit from this potential and use new applications to increase the interoperability of the data available on the web.
