Abstract
This article presents the findings of a research project — participatory action, the aim of which was to design a strategy training in citizenship skills for girls and boys schooling in Barranquilla, for the reconstruction of imaginaries city and citizenship from school journalism. The workplace field work was carried out using the map project technique. mental, group sections and interviews conducted by the population children (after being trained) to adults living in their population neighbourhoods. The results of the exploration made it possible to construct hypotheses to establish the three phases of the strategy: stories for the coexistence and peace, stories for interculturalism and talents for the participation – democratic accountability. It was found that from direct experience with the city and media experience, the inhabitants set up images of a fragmented city and of citizenship limited to obedience of standards. This is why it is proposes the implementation and validation of the strategy in schools; in order to further strengthen and raise awareness of capacity criticism of students to count other types of city and citizenship.
