Abstract
The main objective of the article is to explain a process of political mobilisation and anti-fascist struggle in which the unions in the province of Tucumán played a nodal role. In that regard, the consequences of that dispute, which took place in the public space, gave the Tucuman trade union leader visibility and prominence that had not hitherto been achieved and enabled it to strengthen ties and solidarity with other social sectors. To this end, we will take at the heart of the analysis the problems triggered in a very short period from which the public clashes – both discursive and philosophical – between fascism and anti-fascism acquired significant virulence in the province: the years 1935 and 1936.
