Abstract
The inclusion of visually impaired students is an imminent discussion in all spheres of education. The legislation guarantees access for such a pupil in public education, but educational institutions are not yet fully prepared to meet these educational needs of all. In such a scenario, teaching empowerment is necessary and urgent. The purpose of this study is to report experience on the implementation of audio-description in the teaching materials of the Cecierj Geography degree course. The professional empowerment strategy was developed through a state-of-the-art search of audio description which was applied to 20 participants. Its product was the Introduction Course to audio description in EAD and an instructional guide to guidelines for the use of audio description in Didactic Materials in Higher Education.
