Abstract
The article sets out the results of theoretical research into the production of scientific videos and their application to the teaching and learning process carried out in schools in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. It is located within the Audiovisual Production and Communication line. Creation of scientific videos from the social communication career with a reference to audiovisual and multimedia production at the Polytechnic University of Salesian. In order to produce the article, it was necessary to use key terms which subsequently helped in the collection of data. Terms such as: audiovisual production, meaning the production of audiovisual media content; especially cinema and television; regardless of the medium used and the genus, the following term is audio-visual communication, recognised as the process in which messages are exchanged through a sound or visual system; and the last one we use is scientific video, which is the one that uses audiovisual resources to obtain relevant and reliable information to understand, correct or apply knowledge.
