Los Library buildings have historically been dedicated to consulting and preserving bibliographic lascopes, the article describes the process of change suffered by these attracted buildings from history, which in turn results from transformations in the role of libraries: making documents available to institutions that are nowadays sociable spaces and cultural referencing, storing large amounts of information, providing services to increasingly large audiences and calling for them to play a dynamic role in society.
