Abstract
In this work we analysed various features or facets in three contemporary Mexican metropolitan cities: multiculturalism, inequity, social and urban fragmentation, public insecurity and urban projects. The article takes stock of the prevailing situation drawn up on the basis of the authors’ research projects and the review of the recent literature on the subject. It is therefore essentially theoretical work. The article offers an overview of the current situation, on the basis of the authors’ own research projects and a review of recent literature on the topic. It is therefore primarily a theoretical paper.
