Abstract
Communication and social literacy: word courtesy. The general framework of courtesy is one area of social behaviour that individuals use to regulate interpersonal distance, using verbal or non-verbal forms of behaviour. Positive or negative courtesy strategies take the form of a wide variety of verbal means of expression, the consideration of which one wishes to give to their interlocutor, always accompanied by other semiologies and distributed throughout verbal interaction. In the classroom, the learning of courtesy values and at the same time develops the communicative skills (language, socio-cultural, pragmatic) of the participants.
