‘Tourism for all’ should primarily respond to clear principles of engagement in the pursuit of fairness and equality from the perspective of inclusive tourism. The practice of universal tourism, taking into account functional diversity, is an opportunity factor in view of the high percentage of the population in that situation and the growing ageing of the population. The development of accessible and universal tourism needs to be enhanced in all types of destinations, but especially those with a view to increasing their visibility and articulating a unique, differentiated and universal tourism product and offer. The declaration by the Geel Villuercas-Ibores-Jara (Cáceres) is a great opportunity to make it a destination and a reference tourist product for universal and accessible tourism.
