Abstract
Industrial Archeology is understood as the discovery, study and canvation of the physical witnesses of our industrial past, the issue is not only confined to buildings and installations. After the end of the lifetime of machinery and equipment, the process of deterioration and disappearance of these goods starts too often. This stage is often accelerated by recycling, bleeding and vandalism. The purpose of this work is to set out a simple and timely methodology applied to a partially destroyed railway vehicle without any registration plate. Through the study of the dimensions and forms of the object, historical sources have been identified with remarkable precision. Known as the “Planetary wagon”, the historical and technological context in which it was designed and constructed will be analysed.
