This assay is an analysis of the ethical perspective in relattons with the religious matrices of Fernando Vallejo’s novel, La virgen of the sicaries, a vision that literary critics tend to underestimate the novel or, at least, its interpretations do not deconstruct the paradoxical building of sincretism and religious dogmatism of the writer. The trial takes a distance from current interpretations to defend the idea that the novel is not primarily dedicated to teenage sicaries, but to the problem of intellectual ‘yes’ and its global crisis.
