Abstract
Los first repopulated movements in the north of the Iberian Peninsula during La Reconquista began in the 9th century. Protagonists of this medieval migration phenomenon were the ‘foramtanas’, who embarked on the adventure of rebuilding the future Spanish nation: a continuation of the Spanish-Roman, visigoda and Christian traditions, which were grouped together in their ‘Spanish-Roman spirit’, which is briefly presented here. Reviewing the story and taking as a reference the first municipal forum: Brañosera (824) is considered from where they depart and which routes they use to enter the future Castile, in order to repopulate and re-conquer the territory of our homeland: Spain.
