Abstract
Se deals with the return of the bodies of dead migrants and their social implications in the Upper Balsas, Guerrero, Christmas communities, in order to understand the rituals and symbols imposed by national and international migration schemes, in which the control of the borders of national states’ administrative systems becomes apparent. Documented with field research, the topic calls for thought to be given to the change and tension in cultural issues based on the inter-national collective organisation of a people with MesoAmerican values in the practice of funeral ritual.
