Abstract
El this article enquires about gender approaches to the role of women in the agricultural industry, and about the treatment of this issue in the current legislation on the inheritance of land in Cuba. This article analyses the progress and challenges faced by women in Cuban agriculture and sets out the Cuban standard and its contradictory aspects, making a comparison with the current situation in Latin America. Women have managed to carry out essential tasks in the Cuban agricultural industry. However, in all cases this progress is not in line with the measures taken and is not aimed at achieving equality as a fundamental objective.
