The construction of the Atlas municipality of Cambira / PR: for teaching and learning Geographic Place A construção do atlas municipal de Cambira/PR: para o ensino e a aprendizagem geográfica do lugar

Abstract

The Municipal School Atlas is in a Didactic material prepared under the design of an object of teaching that makes possible to reach a better understanding of critical and reflective about the local reality. However, projects like this to incumbent materials in local language and geographical division, are scarce on the national scene. Based on these commitments, this paper seeks to explain knowledge about municipal Atlas and disseminate educational materials production techniques suitable for local, as well as anticipating the way in which the Atlas was bedded municipal exchange. The project was due from the Program University of SETI Sans PrisTIERES, based on other studies in Brazil, as in Limeira-SP, Rio Claro-SP, Itamandiba-MG, São Leopoldo – RS and Maringá – PR. For the development and construction of the Atlas, the database was drawn from development agencies of the state as: (IPARDES, IBGE, ITCG, IAPAR). The Cambira, extended the project, located in north-central Paraná, Maringá metropolitan area within the inter-axis Jandaia South/Apucarana. Results are presented after the publication of this material and use thereof by students of municipal schools and the public. The content covered in the Atlas were split into plans, each with issues related to Cambira with Photos, graphs, drawings and maps. In addition to the Atlas, the project team has entrusted other activities with workshops with teachers, interviets with households, fieldwork and geographical reconnaissance, Photographic, tending “Drawing news”, and disseminating the project through publications and scholars.A Municipal Escolar Atlas is made up of a teaching material developed under the conception of an educational object that makes it possible to achieve a better critical and reflective understanding of local reality. However, projects developing materials such as this, in local language and geographical division, are scarce in the national scenario. Based on these assumptions, this work seeks to broaden knowledge about municipal Atlas and disseminate the techniques for producing suitable school materials at local level, as well as to present the way in which the Cambira Municipal Atlas was developed. The project developed from the SETI University Without Borders Programme, based on other work carried out in Brazil: as in Lyopol-SP, Rio Claro-SP, Itamandiba-MG, São Leopoldo – RS and Maringá – PR. For the development and construction of the Atlas, the database was taken from state promotional bodies such as: (IPARDES, IBGE, ITCG, IAPAR). The municipality of Cambira, covered by the project, is located in the central northern region of Paraná, the metropolitan area of Maringá, within the intermunicipal axis Jandaia do Sul/Apucarana. The results were presented with the publication of this material and its use by pupils in the municipal education network and by the population. The content covered in the Atlas was divided into boards, each containing matters relating to the municipality of Cambira, containing photos, graphics, drawings and maps. In addition to the Atlas, the project team also carried out other activities, such as: workshops with teachers; interview with residents; field work and geographical recognition; photographic register, ‘drawing Cambira’ competition, and dissemination of the project through publications and awards.
