Abstract

ENGLISH: The Indian appears throughout history as an enigmatic being and as a subject of many studies. In the authentic indigenous Latino-American, however, authors are concerned with avoiding any criticism of gratuitous art, of local colour, of indulgence in theforeign taste for exoticism. On the contrary, the indigenists aim through various approaches and formal recourses- to hold on to what can be considered they main objective: the attack of a system that has neither known nor wanted to integrate popular masses.
