Abstract
This article deals with research into the festival of Verdiales, a popular festive expression located in the ecologically cultural space of the Montes de Málaga. We undertake this inquiry from the analysis or breakdown of the twofold dimension of human action, as instrumental and expressive, inspired by the theory of communication of the School of Palo Alto. Social subjects are not only facing the world to survive. The interpretation of cultures shows us the great effort in which they climb above themselves, through forms of expression that transform what their reality is. In the Festival, as communication and expression of the community, that is to say, common, forms of social relationship are built which go against individualistic hegemonic logic, profitability and consumption. The Festival is a platform that invites us to imagine the age-made Reality.
