Abstract

The advertising discourse is a non-constituent discourse. In what follows we shall present an analysis of the advertisement for the Calvin Klein perfume called “Beauty”. Our investigation is focused on the way in which the iconical component and the textual one convey the message of the advertising process by engaging in a reciprocal movement of response, thus completing each other.
