Abstract

SUMMARY Rural settlements appear to be a territorially defined area because it has objectives linked to socially excluded subjects from the capitalist production process. The purpose of this research was therefore to carry out a case study on the inhibitory conditions perceived by the population of Cycero Romana I in the municipality of Esperança- PB. To this end, the following qualitative procedures were carried out: (a) photographic survey; (b) participating observation; (c) individual interviews. As a methodological resource, Participative Rural Diagnostic Techniques – ORD was used. On the basis of this research, a number of suggestions have been identified for improvements in the laying, such as sanitation and canned water supply. As to the problem, dissatisfaction shows the wish to leave the site in the future. Keywords: Rural Diagnostic; Hoped-PB; Agricultural reform. Therefore, this search prepared to conduct a case study about the Inhibitory conditions perceived by nesting population Cicero Roman I in the municipality of Esperance-PB. Therefore, the following qualifying procedures took place: (a) Photographic survey; (b) participant observation; (c) individual interviews. A methodological resource used was the techniques of Participatory Rural Appraisal-DRP. From this research were identified severe weaknesses for improvement in the settlement, covering as basic sanitary and piped water supply.
