Post-industrial capitalism, automation and new working conditions change the adjective of work as a certainty set out in industrial capitalism and opens up to work uncertainty, where new dynamics in the world of work reshape the well-being that seemed to be secured when they got a job. The aim of this test is to reflect on how the rules of the neo-liberal capitalism game placed at the heart of the provision of well-being to the market and determined changes in the world of work, leaving the State in a secondary role that defines its social programme responses by placing the individual as responsible for his or her trajectory, without considering contextual variables, exacerbating uncertainty. Finally, proposals to manage this uncertainty from an active state, such as universal basic income and alternative responses from the community in the social economy, are being analysed, since in the face of this reconfiguration of the world that gives rise to unprecedented threats, unprecedented opportunities must arise to manage uncertainty.
