Abstract
We propose a new approach to the cinema of Manuel Gutiérrez Aragon, which has hitherto been studied from political perspectives or, above all, literary and mythological perspectives, with categories such as magia, fabulation, heroic figures, etc. This film is being interpreted from forms of charity established by the phenomenology of religions that are particularly prominent in black littered films, The heart of the forest, demonies in the garden, half of the sky and Todos we are invited to: the woodland and the rose tree, the shoulder of the Madre Nutricia and the ritual of the food. This makes it possible to consider how herophies, archaetypes and rituals from the millennial history of religions also take place in an average of only 100 years, such as cinema. It contrasts this substrate of priced religiosity with telúric roots and links with agricultural deities with contemporary Spanish Catholicism.
