Abstract
Autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurobiological pathology that has a greater impact on a child’s communicative and social development, preventing the child from adapting normally to the surrounding context. Educational research is making the teaching of people using ASD increasingly evident through the introduction of different methodological strategies and educational media, including information and communication technologies (ICT). ICT is presented as an alternative to compensate for the difficulties faced by pupils with educational needs. Given the wide variety of needs presented by students with TEA, it is necessary to create and implement different technological tools with the aim of improving the learning process. The aim of this systematic review is to collect information, analyse and synthesise the studies published in the last 10 years on the impact of the use of ICT on the teaching and learning process of people with autism, and then describe the most relevant features of such educational tools. The aim is to establish the current state of knowledge in this area, which will allow a better approach to future research lines. Initial evidence indicates that the use of ICT supports the teaching process of TEA students to improve their ability to perform tasks aimed at acquiring skills.
