Abstract
This trial discusses the reading activity carried out in Brazilian schools, accentuating the perpetuation of social inequality by the inferiority of basic education in the public network. Amalgamated by the notion of legent, which emerges from Maria Gabriela Llansol’s work, and from modern translation theories, this article speaks of intersemi-optical translation/transcreation practices as a possible way of reactivating transformative reading in literature teaching.
