Abstract
In the globalising world, local units differ and stand out with their unique values. This brings practices and strategies, including presentation and introduction of historical areas, along with the increasing economic value of the service sector. In the global circulation of such values, the use of such values has been frequently applied in the film industry recently. The aim of the study is to discuss how the presentation of historical areas through films, which is a high industrial branch of historical areas. The increasing value of the screen, which is part of popular culture, also changes with this popularity. The transfer was carried out through the city of Ait Ben HadDou of Morocco, one of the destinations of the Game of Thrones series (Game of Thrones) with a high number of viewers of the last century. It was originally given theoretically how historical sites were presented in the films, followed by how the city on the UNESCO World Heritage List was given from past to present in cinema. The settlement has hosted numerous films since the 1950s. The films are limited to films where the settlement appears. In the assessment part, there was a discussion of specificity with the fictional date described by the films.
