Abstract
This is an analysis of two audiovisual products, both led by a woman, Josefina Molina: Vera (1971) and Vera, a cruel story (1973). The first part of the TVE2 series is ‘Hora Once’ and the second is a fiction film feature of the producer Etnos Films. The two texts were co-written by Josefina Molina. These two audiovisual productions are freely based on Villiers’ Vera story of L’Isle-Adam. Vera, a cruel story is the only Spanish fiction film of terror film of tardoFranco directed and written by women. It is the only contribution made by women to the genus of fantastic and terror at the time of splendour in Spain. Their analysis is really significant in understanding the Spanish cinema of that time marked by a strong misogyny in both the production system and the subject of works.
