Abstract
The recent publication of the discovery of an iconographic source of the Queen Camila relief in the jerezano Palacio de Riquelme leads the author of that hahhazgo to say that this invalidates the entire iconological programme proposed makes some timotifs. The aim is to demonstrate that this source not only does not invalidate but corroborates that interpretation, emphasising the difference between iconography and its possible sources and the iconological method, which attempts to go further, seeking an interpretation, a coherent message in the work of art.
