Abstract
In this article, I inquire into the phenomenon of violence and analyse it in its functional and conceptual structure with the aim of continuing the deconstructions made by feminism and gender theory, understood by gender as the breadth of the sexual difference, i.e. the multiple ways of becoming sexual. It echoes this phenomenon of violence as a cause at the same time as the symbolic, social, economic, political and cultural order of the West. This is how I expose violence as a result of the conceptual rationale of the categorisation of the sexual world, which in turn results from the extreme bipolarity of the human category; thus making visible a schematic reproduction which legitimises the full exercise of violence in its conceptual breadth, but which designates specific bodies as targets.
