The concept of Feminicide was developed in Latin America by the ethnic and anthropologue Marcela Lagarde, specifically for the case of women murdered in Ciudad Juárez (Mexico). The term has been extended to other countries and in Colombia the aim of the reform of the Criminal Code (Law 1257 of 2008) is to protect women in such circumstances. This text seeks to draw up a sketch and bring it to the knowledge of it as a fact.
