The article describes the ethnographic component of the scientific library ofYuriyFedkovychChernivtsiNationalUniversity, namely the collection of national significance – «Bukovinensia». Studies of local lore are one of the leading areas of search and information activity of the Scientific Library of Chernivtsi University. «Bukovinensia» is a package of documents related to the University, manuscripts, works of distinguished scholars who were associated with Bukovina and Chernivtsi, local lore calendars, bindings of newspapers in different languages: German, Romanian, and Polish, as also the bindings of «Bukovina» – the first Ukrainianlanguage newspaper in Chernivtsi.
