Abstract

And Article EVALURE THE SOCIAL IMPACTION OF MEDICINE in women’s bodies and builds a health picture as close as possible to the social reality. It shows how medical developments affect women in a variety of ways, which hardly starts to take into account those researching, practising medicine or designing public policies. It contains a count of studies from medical anthropology in Colombia and how they have seen gender and reproduction. It continues with a criticism of medicine, not how a success story that will lead us to cure all diseases, but from its dark side, which does not benefit women negatively. It refers specifically to the case of cosmetic medicine with a view to making a profit. The analysis ends with a look at domestic and social violence and its impact on public health.
