Abstract
This article hypothesizes that an engineering of participation in link with landscape notion may promote awareness of the different actors for the definition and management of territorial projects, and support a sustainable implementation of landscape policies. Two learning situations in south-western France are proposed. In the Hautes-Corbières (Aude, Languedoc-Roussillon), a map of the landscape units and photographs were proposed and used as tools for recognition of landscape characters with various local actors. In Lagraulet-du-Gers municipality (Gers, Midi-Pyrenees), various participants were invited to use photojournalism to decrypt the planning choices implemented on a municipal housing estate and then discuss their meaning and interest.
