Abstract
Agricultural Agri-Organic Family Farming (AFAC) is defined as agriculture that is characterised by the use of mainly family labour; is highly dependent on the goods and services provided by the natural (ecological) environment and its own agro-ecosystem; works on a small and highly diversified scale of production; develops social technologies appropriate to their ecological, social and cultural status; and, it is embedded in the development dynamics of its community and region. The aim of the work was to identify the ecosystem attributes of peasant family production units in the Cormechoque river basin in Boyacá. Characterisation is the description of the main attributes of interactions between the components of the production system. The categorisation explains the establishment and construction of possible groups of producers based on the characteristics observed in reality. Visits were made to the respective production units, as well as interviews and surveys of producers. The presence and impact of variables such as: soil management, water management, agricultural diversity, farming practices, as well as family core aspects, and housing; the data obtained resulted in a multivariate statistical analysis showing 4 distinct groups, with similar characteristics within each group, with a percentage distribution of 26.7 %, 23.3 %, 23.3 % and 26.7 % respectively.
