Abstract
Faced with the danger of a permanent loss of the music corpus accessible online, authors propose a search method that takes into account the inconstant classification and storage of new digital audio media. The gesture of the new collector who exchanges, transmits or uploads music is considered to be a source in its own right. In other words, this is a paradigm shift in the practice of research which tends to move towards the initial questioning defined by an expert/s and which makes the source of conflict. The main objective is to return to the study of representations, not only as reflections of a real social reality (in the state of traces or real material), but also as constructed figures that make the world intelligible and bring aesthetic enjoyment.
