Abstract
The advancement of new communication and information technologies is bringing about profound changes in citizens’ personal and social lives. The University, which has always represented the scientific, humanist and intellectual advance in society, must not and cannot ignore these advanced technologies in its core curriculum. This article provides a reflection on the necessary training of students in the new communication that involves the integration of a “global culture” into our university. There are also some glimpse and surface points to outline new curricular structures to support the integration of new media into the teaching/learning process.
