Mulungu (Erythrina velutina Willd.) is a tree that occurs in north-east Brazil and is used as a medicinal, timber, artisanal, ornamental and agroforestry system. A review of the species has been carried out on the species from a consultation of the Library Bases, addressing taxonomic and botanical aspects, chemical composition and applications in phytotherapy, propagation and conservation.
