El artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación orientada a describir aspectos del proceso de suscripción de revistas en línea en la Argentina. Entre abril y setiembre del año 2007 se aplicó una encuesta vía correo electrónico a bibliotecas especializadas y universitarias argentinas para indagar acerca de los actores involucrados en la identificación, evaluación y selección de títulos, en la negociación y firma de las licencias, las modalidades de suscripción y los tipos de recursos suscriptos por esas unidades de información. Se observó una alta participación de los bibliotecarios en todo el proceso que disminuía en la etapa de negociación y firma de los acuerdos de licencia donde los directores institucionales y los administradores tenían un rol más destacado.This paper presents the findings of an investigation aimed at describing aspects of the process of online journals subscription in Argentina. From April to September of 2007 a survey was conducted via electronic mail to special and academic libraries to inquire about Argentine actors involved in the identification, evaluation, and selection of titles, in the negotiation and signing of the licences, the subscription methods, and type of resources subscribed for those information units. There was a high participation of librarians in the process that decreased in the stage of negotiating and signing the licencing agreements where institutional managers and administrators had a more prominent role.
