Abstract
The main objective is to analyse the previous beliefs or knowledge of Graduation students in Physical Education about sports teaching when entering university. Methodological procedures for qualitative research that are descriptive of interpretation of multiple case studies have been adopted. Five students graduating in Physical Education from a public university have been investigated. The tools used were semi-structured interview roadmap; systematic observation; memory stimulation procedures. The content analysis technique was used and the classes of analysis were determined a priori. It was found that the subjects investigated believe that the basic motive content or skills of sport should be emphasised in the sportive initiation process. Experience of personal practice and observation were sources for the structuring of their lessons. Subjects have a pedagogical knowledge of sports teaching, obtained from a modelling process.
