Abstract
O article analyses the experience of legal accountability of the Construction Consortium Belo Monte (CCBM) for the sexual rights of children and adolescents from the politico-legal strategies of the Municipal Council for the Rights of the Child and the Adolescent of Altamira (CMDCA), State of Pará, in the context of the construction of Belo Monte hydro. Initially, theoretical and normative aspects of the relationship between children’s rights, social control and business practices are discussed. The process and content of the Commitment Pact drawn up between CMDCA and CCBM is then analysed. Finally, it is reflected on the limits and possibilities of establishing a more active role of social control and the rights of children and adolescents in regulating business practices.
