Abstract
This investigation reviews the ethical profiles of current household savings in Mexico according to the condition of access to medical services by work. The study is based on a synthetic cohort analysis that allows analysis of the behaviour of current savings over the life cycle. The database used is the National Household Revenue and Expenditure Survey (ENIGH) from 1994 to 2014 and ten synthetic cohorts are constructed. The results show that the age profile of the saving rate does not present an inverted form of UU as illustrated by the life cycle scenario. Moreover, among those who work and do not have access to medical services, savings rates are always lower and negative at the beginning of life.
