Abstract
Entrepreneurship is one of the main drivers of innovation, competitiveness and growth of the economy; it is therefore necessary to encourage people to start a business and to encourage them to start a business. Public administration plays an important supporting and stimulating role in business creation, and new technologies – especially internet – enable the transmission of information, becoming a valuable ally in boosting entrepreneurship. The aim of this work is to examine, through a content analysis, the level of information on entrepreneurship displayed by the municipalities of Alentejo, a region of Portugal, on their websites. Research has shown that the data offered is scarce, with general information, information on resources and support for the entrepreneur, and communication with the entrepreneur being the most widely disseminated.
