Abstract
This study is based on knowledge of ‘scientific performance’ in Colombian sociology. Its objectives are twofold: analyse scientific performance as a particular issue; and examine it as an expression of the state of discipline. The aim is to complement “sociology states” as global approximations, generally tending to observe the evolution of research topics and institutional, pedagogical and methodological developments in the field of sociologists. “Scientific completion” covers academic “production” and “productivity”, but as a concept it forms part of a perspective that localises them in another theory, which allows an alternative interpretation of these same phenomena. The study is based on a sample design whose unit of analysis is the sociologist or sociologist of academic plants in universities with sociology programmes. The source is the life sheets provided by researchers to the national science system in Colombia (CVLAC). Here is all your academic and scientific information. There are signs of a fragmented sociological world in terms of scientific realisation, as a result of recent major institutional changes. This fragmentation indicates inequality among sociologists. Such a finding encourages discussion of the social constitution of sociology.
