Abstract
In this work, we present the impact of factors such as: cognitive loss, depression and anxiety, in the elderly of the first two classes of UniAMa, through a quantitative analysis of data obtained by means of psychological tools applied to the elderly: Mini Mental State Examination (MEEM), Beck Scale of Anxiety (BAI) and Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS). The intention of the study is to verify the situation of the abovementioned indices presented by the elderly on the occasion of UniAMa’s search, and thus to understand the impact that the actions carried out under the UNISC Third Age Programme will have on the participants. The results found show that the greatest cognitive losses are what is already pointed out by literature as expected for age, taking into account that the students assessed are in the 60-82 age bracket.
