Abstract
The role of teachers at the level of teaching at which they work, teaching foreign languages (LE) in official language schools (E.O.I.) also includes the practice of reading and promoting reading, both in the classroom and outside. In this regard, there is a habit of offering students, throughout the course, more or less mandatory reading of stories and novels which will subsequently be used in class for language analysis activities (usually on grammatical, lexical content, syntactical structures, textual models, etc.), or as an encouragement to write summaries and editions and, if not, as the subject of competence assessment in oral expression.
