Abstract
The idea of carrying out an investigation into the lexicographic characterisation of the patch, with a view to drawing up a dictionary, is based on the need to study in greater detail a dialectal variety of dialectal origin of Colombian Spanish, known as a parlache, which uses large parts of society, but in particular young people in the popular and marginal neighbourhoods of Medellin and its Metropolitan Area. In all societies, there are linguistic changes that show the transformations of reality. However, in the popular and marginal sectors of Medellin, the emergence of linguistic changes was so rapid that it went beyond the normal limits of this phenomenon due to the intensification of the social crisis and the emergence of new forms of work, characterised by a framework of transgression of the law and a broad mastery of drug culture, where the social sector most affected was that of young people. For this reason, despite the fact that the patch is a widespread dialectal variety, most of its speakers and those who use it with the greatest ownership are young people aged 15-26.
