Abstract
The area of music education in Spain is one of the interests, political priorities and the European Higher Education Area. As a scientific area, its place is basically focused on the specific and interdisciplinary areas, the lines of which define different objectives which they address with specific approximation methodologies in order to achieve them. This text seeks to know the outstanding interests of research in music education. Summaries and keywords of scientific articles in Spanish and foreign music education journals have been taken as a reference. The methodology used is computer-aided content analysis: QDA. The results show the themes, as well as methodologies for approximating and analysing Musical Education, distinguishing between types of documents, keywords and summaries, as well as the origin of Spanish and foreign magazines. In this way we hope to access the memory of our area of knowledge, its interdisciplinary ramifications and research interests.
