Este article is based on four main arguments: first, there is a strong reaction to gênero because gênero has become an indispensable category of social analysis; second, the violent reaction to gênero is provided by the idea of gênero ideology; third, Gênero ideology is itself a familiarity-based gênero ideology; fourthly, the Maria da Penha Law and the femicide law are threatened because they are based on the concept of violence based on the gênero that derives from the concept of gênero. An important strategy in this scenario is to increase female representation in power spaces to spread these backsliding.
