Abstract
In recent years, information and communication technologies have encouraged the expansion and diversification, through mobile devices and computers, of the spaces and conditions for communication between young people. In this article we present the results of the project "CIPRECES: Communication habits and social relations of students in face-to-face and virtual contexts "concerning the analysis of communication habits and the use of technologies in secondary education, as well as the parallels in communication taking place in face-to-face and virtual contexts, with emphasis on the educational use of these new communication devices.
