Abstract
The colourful cathedrals, architectural machines that are biologically susceptible to continuous change, were the subject of numerous artistic interventions both outdoors and indoors during the second half of the xviii century. This was based on a necessary sequential habit, due to the existence of multiple causes: the conclusion or realisation of parts not previously made; the reconstruction, and even restoration, of certain areas damaged by the passage of time and natural phenomena; the new littoral needs of the era and for more usable spaces for various functions; novel architectural approaches that run counter to old practices; the almost obligation to comply with the wishes of Obispos and other mecums, who gave life or testamentary certain flows to carry out various works, inspired by their religiousness and devotions of certain healthy people or by the idea of leaving a footprint of their presence in life...
