Abstract
The following reflection aims to identify characteristics of conceptual training in democratic coexistence and democracy for peace, relating to learning to live, sharing situations, being together, recognising the diversity of educational subjects and placing specific strains on educational establishments, in the understanding and complexity of citizenship training, related to capacity building and its consolidation as a mechanism for democratic coexistence; this should contribute to a political stance that involves all stakeholders in building competences (cognitive, communicative and inclusive) and socio-emotional skills, in shaping as ethical citizens able to share and interact with others and the other, largely separating itself from programmatic actions to deal with and eliminate the conflict.
